Step into maritime history!
Experience the sound of steam engines and the atmosphere of stepping straight into the past. At the National Maritime Museum’s Museum Ship Pier, our iconic museum ships are open to visitors throughout the summer season.
Step aboard the Icebreaker Sankt Erik from 1915 or the Lightvessel Finngrundet – two proud representatives of Sweden’s maritime heritage. The pier is also frequently visited by other historic vessels.
The Museum Ship Pier is located at Galärvarvsvägen 24, just below the Vasa Museum by the waterfront. During the summer, our museum hosts are present around the ships, offering guided tours and answering questions throughout the day. Feel free to come up and ask!
